Ear piercing problem?

I got my ear (just the one) pierced at Carly Baker Visage, its one of those places where you just buy the earings(s) and they pierce it for free for you. So I got it done about 3 months ago, and I am allowed to take it out in 6 weeks. It has been way more than 6 weeks and I want to change it, but I can't get it out! It's a weird backing, and it won't come off! How do I do it? It's like locked on it or something. Thanks!
